Aliens: Colonial Marines is a horror/science fiction themed first person shooter developed by Gearbox Software and published by Sega.
It is based around the Sci-Fi film "Aliens" directed by James Cameron and takes place after the events of the 2nd film. The game is basically a sequel to the 1986 movie.

On January 16, 2013, Gearbox Software announced that Aliens: Colonial Marines has gone gold - meaning it was ready for all platforms.
The Wii U version, however has been canceled.

The story follows Cpl. Winter who is sent as a part of a Search & Rescue team to the U.S.S. Sulaco to try and locate Ellen Ripley, Corporal Dwayne Hicks, and other marines who went MIA on board the LV-426
Taking place seventeen weeks after the 1986 science fiction masterpiece, Aliens Colonial Marines is the videogame continuation of Aliens that dives head first into the rich tapestry that was originally created over twenty-five years ago. a distress signal sent out by Cpl. Dwayne Hicks is picked up by the Conestoga-Class Ship, USS Sephora, but upon their arrival something is not as it should be. The ship Ellen Ripley, Hicks, and Newt were on, the USS Sulaco, is back in orbit over LV-426 and not over the planet Fury 161 as it should be. the marines of the Sephora investigate the ship and begin to unravel a mystery involving the corporation Weyland-Yutani. Can the marines figure out how the corporation is involved with what is happening on the surface of the planet before it’s too late?

Objective Mode: 4 vs 4, Aliens hunt the Marines team, which must escape to an evac point

Objective Mode: 4 vs 4, Marines must survive unrelenting Xenomorph attacks until time is up.
Extermination Mode[edit]
Objective Mode: 4 vs 4, Marines have planted bombs in alien hives and must activate them at the checkpoints, Aliens have to stop them
