Abandon Ship is an order issued when the ship has suffered a Hull Breach that cannot be contained, or some other catastrophic disaster in which the destruction of the ship is imminent
This directive should be issued when there is no other choice and no way to contain the damage and save the ship
All crew should then proceed to their designated Escape Pods
In the mission Sulaco Falls the Sulaco's computer is heard saying "Abandon Ship. Abandon Ship." and Escape Pods can be seen evacuating from the Spacecraft.
