Find Mayor Gott - he is located in Desireen, a small village nearby to the south of where your character started the game at.

Mayor Gott: Ah, there you are. All ready for your big trip? I wanted to make sure you were properly prepared before you left.
The elders have approved your journey, but we can't spare the coin to fund it. Why don't you ask the locals if there're any odd jobs they need done? A little extra coin for the road couldn't hurt!
