Optional Objectives[edit]

Stop Patriot messengers within the time limit: 3:00
Walkthrough[edit]
Time to deal with a number of messengers and neutralize them. Head on up the slope to enter the search area for the first one. It helps to have a full stock of cartridges to make it through this part.
Messenger 1[edit]
Follow the trail straight on. About 20 seconds in you will find the first messenger. Just run him down with your horse to stop him for good.
Messenger 2-4[edit]
Keep on the trail. This one is more involved and lot more interesting (and more challenging). Ride straight on to find the next messengers who are traveling in a group. Move up to the rear rider and assassinate him with either the Tomahawk or the Hidden Blade. Now use your, hopefully, Double-barreled Pistol to take out the other 2 riders. Otherwise they will dismount and attempt to shoot you as well. If you do not have the Double-Barreled Pistol then quick use the bow works very well to deal with the survivor.
Be sure to start reloading when you are done here. There is 1 more rider.
Messenger 5[edit]
The final messenger is a good way up the road. Take off at a gallop to catch up. This one is actually riding with some fire on his heels. Catch up by spurring on your horse. From there either shoot him down or just assassinate him. The choice is yours.
