"Slow the Redcoat advance while the Patriots retreat" is an objective in The Battle of Monmouth in Sequence 10. This is a timed mission. You need to hold off the Redcoat forces for 3 minutes without depleting your reserve of Patriots.

Walkthrough[edit]
You have 3 minutes to complete the objectives listed and resist the Redcoat advance if you are after Full Synch. This is all about aiming and doing so carefully. You will be loading and firing almost constantly toward the end of this objective. You need to watch each incoming platoon and deal with them quickly. All the notation from when you were helping with the defense of the bridge carries over here. A group with a Hex over them is about to fire.
If you are after Full Synch you will have some tricky shots, mostly to get the 2 platoons with a single cannonball. You need to wait for 2 groups to gather on the road ahead. Once they have, aim carefully in the middle of them so they all fall within the circle of the cannon's blast. Remember to consider for travel time of the cannonball with each shot.
