The Swivel Cannon is your flexible and fine aiming weapon aboard the Aquila. While it does not have the raw destructive power of a broadside, it makes up for it with accuracy.
A single shot from the Swivel will destroy most Gunboats and do some respectable damage to Schooners. They are of limited use on anything above that as they do not do enough damage.
Swivel Cannons are very useful against Man-of-Wars. At a point you can expose the Powder Stores. By hitting this small target with a lock from the swivel, you will destroy the whole ship. Only fire on it when the target is red, showing a lock.
