"Loot the chest" is a mission objective in Sequence 10 / Memory 01: Black Bart's Gambit

Head to the bow of the ship and dive into the water from there. Swim around the next bend and to the Eastern beach. There is a lot less to worry about and it removes a fairly intricate infiltration across the beach. Move in toward the tower. When the Guards and the Gunner are looking away is the time to get underneath the tower and into the Stalking Zone there. Use it as cover to deal with the various Guards by tagging a few with Berserk Darts. Dart out to the crate and loot it.
