Walkthrough[edit]
Head to the Ambush location and move into position. When you make it there, wait out the cinematic. After that go to Half Sail. Sail straight on past the 5 Ships ahead of you. As you do, fire on them using Broadsides for the Gunboats and Heavy Shot for the brig. Opening with a mortar barrage on the farther Gunboats will help you cut through their numbers quickly. Disable the flag ship, Hercules and Board it. Fight through the crew to claim the ship. After that you can do either repair the Jackdaw or send it to the fleet.
