Synchronizing with your environment in Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag will allow players to expand their World Map, discover new side quests and missions, and even fast travel between locations.
How to Synchronize[edit]
Just like in past games, synchronizing with your environment is integral to succeeding at gameplay.
Synchronization points are located throughout the game, and are marked by eagles flying around them.
They can also be found using an icon on Edward's map.
To synchronize, simply climb to the top of the point. This is often easier said than done, as many synchronization points are small platforming puzzles unto themselves, forcing the player to use their abilities in trying new ways. Once at the top of a sync point, just hit the action button and perform a Leap of Faith to the bottom.
