"Detach the reinforcement wagons" is an optional mission objective in Sequence 5 / Memory: Research and Development
Walkthrough[edit]
There are 2 train wagons that can be disconnected as you move forward through the train.
The first wagon is found just after the first crate Jacob needs to search. Hop onto the next train car and immediately turn back toward the precious one. You will see the prompt to detach it appear. Hit the prompted button repeatedly to get the car to detach. Head on forward and search the second cart.
After you search the second crate, head to the next train and immediately turn around.
Once again, you will find the prompt to detach the car you were just on. This one will not count toward the objective.
Just before the third and final crate, you will find another segment of the train that you can detach. Do so. This will finish the objective. This makes the final part of the memory a lot easier to complete.
