"Free Ned Wynert" is a mission objective in Sequence 5 / Memory: Research and Development
Walkthrough[edit]
The easiest way to free Ned Wynert is to get ahead of the convoy and block their path with another carriage. Get to the rooftops after that. Wait for them to gather up and then throw a Smoke Bomb toward any of the convoy. This will get the horses to panic and run. Keep with the carriage with Ned Wynert inside it.
This will likely get some attention from the police. Avoid them by all means possible. If you do not care about the optional objective, engage them freely to put an end to them quickly. Still, getting their attention has a good chance that after they will simply ignore the carriage with Ned inside it.
Once you get the Policemen shaken off, head for the carriage with Ned Wynret inside it. If the police are still nearby, grab the carriage and clear out of the area quickly. Keep going until you are outside their search zone. After that, just get off the carriage and free Ned.
