Summary[edit]

Goal[edit]

Leave the opponent with less than 3 pieces or block all his possible moves

Rules[edit]

White goes first.

Form MILLS to capture enemy pieces. A mill is formed when 3 of your pieces are placed in a STRAIGHT LINE. Forming a mill allows the player to take an enemy piece of their choice that is not already part of a mill.

After 18 pieces have been placed, the MOVING phase begins. Each player takes turn moving his pieces by sliding one piece into an adjacent empty slot. If he can't, he loses the game.

Starting the game[edit]

Choose if you want to play first or let the opponent take the first turn.

How to play[edit]

Use the PIECE SELECTOR to place pieces on empty slots.

Form MILLS by lining up 3 of your pieces to eliminate one of your opponent's pieces.

Nine Men's Morris Strategies[edit]

During the beginning, try to capture key intersections rather than focus on one area.

After capturing an intersection, try to place pieces in spots that will let you make two possible mills on the next move. Your opponent will only be able to block one of them.

A piece that gets surrounded by your enemy's pieces is useless.

Think several moves ahead

Is it better to go first or last?[edit]

It is a better strategy to go first in this game

Can't Complete a Mill?[edit]

If you can't make a mill, remember that when making a mill you need to complete the move by choosing your opponent's piece to capture. Once you do that, you should be able to create a mill.
