The Gargoyles are part of the architectural style of Gotham City in Batman: Arkham Origins.
These statues can be found on sticking out of the tops of many buildings around the city.
Made out of hard stone, these Gargoyles are good targets for Batman's Grapnel Gun, and the Grappling Hook should attach to these statues quite easily and allow Batman to propel himself high and long distances.
The Gargoyles also give Batman a good vantage point to survey his enemies and remain undetected
