"Disable shield gate" is an objective in The Void's Edge in Battleborn

Walkthrough[edit]

Turn to the East and follow S1.Wolf over to the next shield blocking your way forward. This part is somewhat calm.

When the group approaches the shield, some Jennerit Warp Anchors will come in. There will be a large number of Thralls coming from them. Destroy the Warp Anchors and then deal with the Thralls. Expect to deal with Thrall Brutes, Summoned Thralls.

To the left, there are a number of pads. Each member of the team will need to get on one. This will activate the nearby launcher which will let the group send 1 person up into the next part. The rest of the team will need to defend S1.Wolf.

Either while the person is heading through the hallway to reach the shield switch or while everyone is defending S1.Wolf. During this defense time, you will be fighting more Varelsi. This will have the team against a lot of Varelsi Skulks. You will also encounter Varelsi Defilers. These are more unique because they can erect shields of dark energy. Those on the ground will need to work with S1.Wolf to defend him. Use his healing and shielding abilities to keep him and the Battleborn safe as needed.

For those who head up into the hallway, you will be facing a number of Thralls protecting the area. There is also a Thumper Turret protecting the passage forward. This can vary depending on how many people are in the group. Replace the turret after you destroy it to keep things a bit easier, if you have the Shards for it.

Turn to the East and deal with the Thalls approaching you. This can put you against a few Thrall Gunners and the odd Primal Thrall. Defeat them and continue forward to the next room.

The activation switch is protected by another Thrall. Defeat it and then destroy the Shard to deactivate the shield blocking your way forward.
