Shard is a currency in Battleborn

Shards are an in-game currency used during missions. These are coalesced pieces of solar energy. Hence their bright and radiant appearance. These can be collected by either walking over them or by shooting them to shatter them. They will split into numerous pieces. These can be used to manufacture Drones, Turrets and other Buildables during a mission. They do not carry over from one mission to the next.
The shards are found in a variety of sizes. There are small and medium sized ones:
As well as large ones.
