"Defeat bandits" is an objective in the Story Mission Hunting the Firehawk in Borderlands 2

The Vault Hunter and Lilith need to make their way on through numerous waves of Psychos coming at them. Keep on the move and use the abundant cover. Lilith will be blasting and teleporting around the area a good bit. This makes it a lot easier to manage any group of foes. The first few waves are not too bad with lots of Psychos. The third one is where things get harder with badasses appearing. More start showing in the fourth on. When she calls out more Badasses are showing, you are nearly done. Just kill them and any survivors. That will finish out this fight with the Bandits.
