Very low damage but 65% of all damage is returned to the user as health (this includes melee and grenade attacks used while holding the gun). It is always Slag with a very high chance of inflicting it.
The Grog Nozzle will also occasionally make the user "drunk". While in this is in effect the bullets will break into 6 shots. This will decrease the rate of fire and accuracy.
