Rue, The Love Thresher is a Boss in Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre
To take down this mammoth Thresher, you will want to find a place it can't suck you in with the Singularity. More than anything, keep on the move and make good use of the cover provided in the town. Be sure to take a little time to clear out the Young Theshers and the local Hodunks first to make your life a little easier.
If you are having a lot of trouble with Rue, take advantage of the house by the Thresher Chest. This lets you get cover from the majority of Rue's attacks if you are on the opposite side of it. With the lack of ground underneath it, Rue also can't send up Tentacles underneath you for attacking.
