Borderlands 2: Slag Weapons

A slagged target is identified by the purple smoke coming out of it

Slag Weapons in Borderlands 2 have a chance to coat the enemy in the Eridium byproduct "Slag". Slagged enemies take significantly more damage from all non-slag damage types. So once someone is coated it is the best to switch to another weapon to quickly finish them off.
