"Thresher Fishing" is a hidden quest in Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre DLC. This will give you access to the Thresher Chest. You must complete all fights during a single visit to Rotgut Distillery to complete this hidden mission.
Walkthrough[edit]
To go Thresher fishing, you need to first find the 5 pieces of bait. There is one piece of bait for each level of Rarity in the Game: White, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange.
White Bait
The White Bait is found nearby the Couple's house when you arrive there. Look opposite their house and where you see the fishing pole. By it is the White Thresher Bait
Green Bait
The Green Thresher Bait is found nearby the broken truck with the Baby Goliath in Moedown Motel. It sits on a porch to the left of the truck.
The Blue Bait
The Blue Thresher Bait is found in the Zaford distillery in the Rainbrew Room. It sits between a wall and a tank. This is before you go up the stairs to the Pot of gold, past the Ammo Dump Vending Machine.
Purple Bait
The Purple Thresher Bait is found either as a drop from the BLNG Loader (on your first playthrough) or in a bucket nearby the Potion Mixer (during every subsequent playthrough).
Orange Bait
The the Orange Thresher Bait is a drop from the Goliath Couple. Even though its classified Legendary, it is a consistent drop. [note: you MUST reactivate the punch bowl to trigger the boss fight before the fish will appear.]
Thresher Hunting[edit]
White Pole
The White Fishing Pole sits just next to the bait. Head over to it and interact with it to put the bait on. After that just wait for Sigmand to appear below you.
Green Pole
The Green Fishing Pole is found to the West of the bridge leading into Moedown Motel from Bridget and Colin's Love Nest. This will let you fight Ikaroa
Blue Pole
The Blue Fishing Pole is found South of the Moedown Motel. Look for the platform above the river that lead to Bridget and Colin's Love Nest. This will let you encounter Moby
Purple Pole
Head to the Southern edge of the canyon lip from the entrance to the Zaford's Rotgut Distillery. You will find the Purple Fishing Pole. This pole leads to the fight against Fire Crak'n
Orange Pole
This final Fishing Pole is found just to the South of the Thresher Chest. This lets you fight Rue, The Love Thresher
