"Find treasure map in garbage" is a mission objective in the story mission "Treasures of ECHO Madre" in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
Walkthrough[edit]
Turn to the East and head through the Research Facility. This will bring you to the Crater of Misplaced Enthusiasm. The very edge of it at least.
Once you make it down into the dump, you have at least 3 piles of garbage to search.
Head over to the Crater. From there just turn around and look on the ground back toward where you came from. The eastern Garbage pile is right here.
The next garbage pile is to the West. It is over by the airdome generator. Dig it up for something your character will appreciate.
head into the airdome to replenish your O2. After that turn back toward the big pile leading into the garbage pile. In the Southwest you will find the next garbage pile.
This one is most likely to have the map. The problem is what's guarding the map.
