Start backup power drain in Borderlands: The Presequel (BL:TPS)

"Start backup power drain" is a mission objective in the story mission "Eye to Eye" in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Walkthrough[edit]

Head to the Northern or Eastern side of the main reactor that is nearby the entrance to the Eye of Helios. On either of those you will see the control console that you need to access. This will let you begin the power drain. Lock and load as Zarpedon sends her soldiers after you to power up the reactor. Time to get started defending this location.

Keep nearby the reactor. This will help give you cover and it also lets the Marines and other Lost Legion come to you. With the slightly higher ground, it helps. Just be careful of the numerous Jetpack Marines that appear after only a short while. There are a good number of these foes with Lasers.

Throughout the fight, watch out if Moxxi calls out that a Soldier has made it to the controls. If they do you will want to immediately locate and kill this soldier. They are very distracted trying to get the power flow resumed. This makes for some easy kills. You can't ignore them as the drain bar will start to replenish.

When you make it to the second half is when some of the Power Suits start to show up. Be on guard for a Lost Legion CQC Suit. While there is a flood of the Lost Legion, remember you just need to wait for the power to drain. That is one of the few things that makes this more manageable. At this point, it is a bit easier to respond and defend from the Northern side of the reactor. This is especially true when you make it into the red. Just focus on keeping the soldiers from getting close. Respond more with some defending. As soon as the power is down, head through the door into the next area.
