Tassiter is an NPC in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
You hear from Tassiter periodically. He is the CEO and president of Hyperion. He is very much about the profits and running the company as smoothly as possible. He will take sensible risks but sees much of the operation out above Pandora as a reckless exercise. He will shut down Jack throughout the game without giving him any time to explain what he is doing.
