This page has the walkthrough/solution to the Fateful Stars Puzzle.

There are 4 rows of Sphere Reciprocals,to progress forward, a Sheikah Sphere needs to go into 1 reciprocal per row.
Going from Left to Right (Link's perspective when entering), the Columns are A, B, C, D.
The Rows are numbered by the Torches that are at the start of the row. Closest to to the entrance is 5, going down to 1 on the Gate Side.
To get through the first gate, you will need to place spheres in.
In Row A, place a Sheikah Sphere in Row 5.
In Row B, place a Sheikah Sphere in Row 3.
In Row C, place a Sheikah Sphere in Row 1.
In Row D, place a Sheikah Sphere in Row 2.
This will open the first gate, allowing Link to reach the Monk.
There is a second gate which has the treasure chest of the Shrine behind it.

In to Row A, place a Shiekah Sphere in Row 4
In to Row B, place a Shiekah Sphere in Row 2
In to Row C, place a Shiekah Sphere in Row 2
In to Row D, place a Shiekah Sphere in Row 1
Placing the sphere in these locations wil open the second gate.
Through that second gate will find the chest with a Knight's Claymore or Royal Claymore inside it.
Climb the stairs and interact with the Monk Keo Ruug.
