You can mine certain ore deposits and rock formations in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Use a tool heavy weapon that's meant for mining, such as a Iron Sledgehammer
How to mine[edit]
- Strike at the ore deposits with your mining tool/weapon
- Use a Remote Bomb
- Be sure to be at a safe distance when you detonate.

Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]
- You can find an Iron Sledgehanner early in the game at the Owa Daim Shrine. You can use this hammer for mining. Later on you may find a Drillshaft in Goron territory. This allows for infinite mining without any damage to the weapon. As such it is prefferable to have one on hand.
