You can get this quest by finding Calip, either in the valley by Robred Dropoff or in his house nearby Fort Hateno

Description[edit]
"When a dark light resides in the cursed statue's eyes, piece its gaze to purge the seal from the shrine."
I heard this from Calip, the self-proclaimed archaeologist. Solving the ancient song's riddle will reveal the hidden shrine.
Walkthrough[edit]
- To the North of the Cliffs of Quince, having passed through Fort Hateno, you will find a small ravine.
- Head to the back of it, where you will find Calip exploring and wandering about during the day.
- Talk with Calip and ask about what he is doing there to begin the quest.
- He will tell Link the riddle and say he has figured it out, but does not want to tell you because it is all his own research.
- To complete this quest, you need it to be night in Hyrule, around 9pm (21:00).
- If you have some Wood, a Flame weapon or a metal weapon, and some Flint
- Wait at the fire until Night.
- It will immediately be 9pm (21:00).
- Likely, you will need to fight 3 Stal-Bokoblins which emerge from the ground.
- The statue in the middle of the field will have purple glowing eyes.
- Shoot this statue with your Bow and Arrow to break it.
- The shrine will be revealed after that.

Dialogue[edit]
Calip: "When a dark light resides in the cursed statue's eyes pierce its gaze to purge the seal from the shrine." I've been pondering the dark light mentioned here for some time, and I must admit I'm stumped. Light can't be dark, obviously. Unless... Whoops! Can't go divulging my research before I publish, now, can I?
Summary[edit]
This is a shrine quest that hints at how one is to access Kam Urog Shrine
Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]
- A single arrow is needed to access this shrine, which can make this fairly easy trial hard to access depending on your supplies.
