DC Universe Online
DC Universe Online (Or "DCUO") is a Superhero MMORPG game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by Sony Computer Entertainment and WB Games
It is based on the DC Comics Universe
It was released January 11, 2011, initially in a pay to play monthly subscription model, but on November 11, 2011, it became Free to Play[1]. Instead of the monthly subscription, there are three levels of access:
Free - This is the defualt access level
Premium - All former paid subscribers automatically become premium members which includes benefits such as additional character and inventory slots, higher cash limit, and more
Legendary - This has the most features including maximum character and inventory slots, all DLCs, and more.

When you create your character, you choose your gender, build, morality, personality, mentor, Power, movement, weapon, and appearance[2].
[edit] Mentors
The mentor you choose will determine your character's origin as well as which upgrades are available for you.
For heroes, mentors are: Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman
For Villains, the mentors are: Joker, Lex Luthor, or Circe
