Server Selection Screen in DayZ SA (DayZ Standalone Version)
You can create your own public server for people to play with! It will show up in the Server Selection Screen with a name of your choosing!
Step 1: Find a host that provides DayZ Standalone Servers. Here is one: GameServers.com
Step 2: Navigate to the DayZ Standalone section, and choose the server options:
- Slots means the max number of players that can be on your server at any time. The more slots, the more expensive the server is. A DayZ Server typically has 30-40 slots
- The location is where the server will be physically located. Generally, the closer people are to the server, the better ping they get. If you want to set up a server in the USA, any U.S. location will do
Step 3: follow the instructions to pay the bill, and the host should do the rest to set up the server. Once the server is set up, you will be able to log in to the control panel to set up options such as server name, and to restart the server, etc.
Step 4: You should now see your server on the Server Selection Screen. Expect many to join your server and have fun!
