Walkthrough

• Head to the door leading into the Excavation Site having saved If you needed it.
• Go across the short bridge to the left then head forward.
• As you step onto the next walkway, a Tentacle will emerge from the pit and attack.
• Kill the tentacle and head over to the left.
• Go to the far side of the pit when you reach the far side.
• Head forward along the edge of the pit.
• You will find a Yellow Growth sitting along the edge of the pit, somewhat hidden by the wall of Necromorphic Growth.
• This will clear some of the growth but also draw out some Exploders and Slashers.
• Go stand where the last growth was and look under the walkway nearby where the Marker is.
• You will spot the growth on the right-hand side of it.
• Blast it to clear more of the growth.
• Head back toward the marker and then start defeating the Slashers that come after you.
• Head past the Marker and across the walkway to the other side from where you entered.
• Go along the path to the back right to find containers on the ground that have 2,000 Credits and Plasma Energy.
• Just after that, look to the left to find the next Yellow Growth.
• Under that, you will find the Text Log: Recombination Study.
• Deal with the Necromorphs then collect the log.
• After all that, head back to the Marker, you can move it now.
• Interact with the control panel to send the Marker farther along its path.
• Keep on guard since there are more Necromorphs that will emerge: Tentacles, Slashers, Lurkers, and Exploders.
• Once the Marker reaches the end of its track, you'll get a message to reunite the Marker.
• Head over to it and interact with the Control Panel next to it on the left.
• The surge of power results in the Gravity Tethers being deactivated.
