While carried, the runner is slower. In exchange the matrix of energy will fill the melee and grenade abilities of the bearer rapidly.
Using a Super or pressing the weapon switch can make the Guardian drop the matrix. After several seconds out of hand, it will disassemble and return to its cradle.
