A large, well protected Taken Knight. Darnu has a number of Taken Vandals who help protect him. He will generally appear in the same area the Devil Walker will appear.
Use the cover around the are to avoid the worst of his fire. It is very important to keep mobile. Thin out the Taken Vandals as often as you can. This limits the protection that Darnu can have at any given point.
