“Defeat the Captain” is an objective in the mission A Khvostov Rising in Destiny: Rise of Iron
Walkthrough[edit]
Kaviss, Splicer Captain is encountered for the second time here. This time he has no where to run and you will be able to defeat him to claim the Firing Pin needed to complete your new gun. He will teleport out of the caged area he starts in after a very short while.
This is not an easy fight and you will need to make very good use of the cover provided to survive the encounter. There are 2 Fallen Skiffs that will be at either end of this area. They will be dropping in a number of Devilsplicers that you will need to deal with. Reload everything and get ready for this.
The bigger threats are going to be the Skiffs and the Splicer Servitors that are there in the beginning. The first wave you encounter is made of solely Dregs. Clear out some of the Dregs and then head back toward the entrance. You will see Kaviss ahead on the right. Rush in after you take down his shield with a Void Weapon. With the shield down, start unloading on him. Aim for his head with any guns or have a safe distance between.
Below 50% health, more Fallen will come in. Take cover as needed to regain health. There are some relatively safe spots going behind the support beams underneath the balconies scattered around the area. Use these to avoid damage and heal as needed.
When you defeat Kaviss Splicer Captain, you are automatically awarded a 350 Khvostov 7G-0X
