“Defeat the Taken” is an objective in the mission Regicide in Destiny: The Taken King
Walkthrough[edit]
Enter into the room that Oryx talks to you in. You have a pair of Taken Champions to deal with now. They are Ta'aun, Hand of Oryx and Baxx. Ta'aun steps out first. It helps to bring out the Heavy Weapons here to blast/slice your way through this first Ultra. This will get a lot of damage in before the second Ultra appears. Load up and prepare for a long fight.
Both have weak points in their glowing eyes. Try to capitalize on that as much as possible. There will also be less Taken minors around the quicker you conclude the fight. Both possess smash attacks with an area effect making getting in this close somewhat risky. Done right though, you can avoid the worst of the damage and use the melee range to inflict heavy damage on your targets.
Blast both of them with Heavy Weaponry to weaken them. Moving in close to blast them both with a high power Shotgun goes a long way to quickly resolve the fight. Sniping can work the same way.
