Infinite Descent in Destiny: Rise of Iron.

“Some might see racing through the heart of Vex territory as foolhardy. When Shaxx sent his Redjacks to mark up the SRL track on Venus, however, he ordered them to find a location worthy of bravest and most skilled of Guardians.”

Enemies[edit]

Overview[edit]

Immediately after the starting point, you will have a split in the track. Going to the right has a few drops but lines you up very nicely with the first gate. Going to the left offers some more jumps but not as clean an angle on the first set of boost gates.

Infinite Descent

The first gates are on the flat land after the drops of the entry way. You will either encounter Vex or Taken here. This sequence of 4 gates has some very tight turning to hit all of them. Take the first two straight on, as you approach the third, use a boost during the turn to correct your aim if needed to hit the gate.

Infinite Descent

The final gate of this sequence is just before the next drop off. Hit the gate and stunt as you fly over the edge.

Infinite Descent

This will lead into a tunnel with 4 Boost Gates in it. Try to get through all of them. They are not too hard to reach.

Infinite Descent

The final gate in this section leads into a turn. Just around the corner in front of you is another pair of gates. Start the turn a little early, just before hitting the gate to avoid swinging out too wide.

Infinite Descent

Aim for both of the gates, making a turn as you go through the second gate and into another tunnel.

Infinite Descent

This tunnel has a split section to it. It is generally better to try to take the left-hand path with its quick drop. Going to the right has you on a rise that crosses over to the left before dropping off. Going left just leads to a drop with a sharp left turn.

Infinite Descent

Now you are in the open section, which has 2 parts to it.

Infinite Descent

There is a gate just over the stream and a pair past the land bridge. You will want to hit both of these. Just after this is a long drop. Depending on the situation of the track, there can be a Fallen Skiff hovering just past the edge.

Infinite Descent

On the ground, there are 2 boost gates on the right, but also a shortcut on the left.

Infinite Descent

With a careful angle on the turn and a boost to the left, you can hit at least the boost gate before entering the short cut.

Infinite Descent

Taking this shortcut will have you miss a Boost Gate but it is not far to the next one. You will drop off a ledge and be headed straight for the next boost gate.

Infinite Descent

Either path, following the drop or the turn, you will have a pair of boost gates in the middle of the course with a jump between them. Aim carefully to hit both of them and be sure to perform an Emote while airborne. There are a number of turns coming up.

Infinite Descent

After the drop following the second boost gate, you need to maneuver around a wall. There will be Vex or Taken here. Go around the wall, keeping it as close to the right-hand side of your sparrow that you dare.

Infinite Descent

On the other side of the wall, in the middle of the track is a Boost Gate. Aim for it, with a slight angle to the right.

Infinite Descent

After the gate is another wall you will need to swerve around. this time, Keep the wall's point as close to your left-hand side as possible.

Infinite Descent

Just past this is a pair of Boost Gates and a Vex Gate. Aim for all the gates to max out your speed for this section. Be sure to hit the Emote button just after you pass through the gate.

Infinite Descent

On the other side of the Vex gate, you have 3 final boost gates to get through.

Infinite Descent

Just after the gates is one final drop. Side boost in the air if you are moving at an angle. Tilt down if you have the control helmet to drop to the ground a bit faster. This makes for a nice clear path forward to the finish line.
