“Kill the Bond Brothers” is an objective in the mission Shield Brothers in Destiny: The Taken King
Walkthrough[edit]
The first one of the brothers to enter the arena is Valus Mau'ual. Mau'ual will start jetting around the arena and performing fist slams. These have a moderate area of impact and effect. Do no stand anywhere nearby him when he comes down.
After you do about a quarter damage to Mau'ual, reinforcements will be inbound. This includes some Psion Burners that come in. These are Solar Psions that will. At 50% health, Valus Mau'ual will flee from the arena. More Reinforcements will enter.
After a minute or two, Valus Tlu'urn will enter the arena. Tlu'urn will likely start by launching a number of missiles at the Guardians who are in the arena. You will see circles on the ground where they are going to impact. Stay out of them. At the same health as his brother, more Reinforcements will be called into the arena. Again, when you get him to 50% health, he will flee the arena. Get what shots you can in on him as he departs.
You need to clear out the Cabal that came into the room. When you have, the Brothers will return. Be ready for a much more difficult fight here. Mau'ual will still perform the same fist slam, the difference is he will now leave a fiery aura where he lands. It lasts for about 10-15 seconds. Crossing through it will cause Burning.
Tlu'urn will protect himself from some incoming damage. It will stop anything that comes from outside the bubble. Inside the bubble though, he is completely vulnerable.
If Tlu'urn is the only brother standing, expect him to pick up the fist slam attack.
Mau'ual will inherit the Rocket Launcher.
