The Prohibitive Mind works to protect the Vex Gate. It has an Void Shield.
Be careful to move around and use whatever cover is around. Keep on guard and work carefully. The sooner you thin out the other enemies (Goblins, Hobgoblin and Harpies). It helps to save some for additional ammo though.
