When the 4 Wakers of Crota have been killed, you can damage the crystal itself.
The Soul attempts to protect itself by summoning a number of Thralls and Acolytes. It will also summon rocks to swirl around itself and protect it from some damage. Just circle around the room, never standing still and keep attacking. Kill the various Hive around the room for more ammo as needed.
