Trivia[edit]
The name is Welsh in origin and directly translates to Fortress of Ambrosius, the real location being a rocky and wooded hillock in north-west Wales. The name Emrys however is linked to Arthurian legend (where Emrys is Merlin) and the story of the red and white dragons which were buried under Dinas Emrys.
