The Vex Mythoclast Catalyst in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer.

How to unlock the Mythoclast Catalyst once you have gotten a Vex Mythoclast.

Description

Re-introduced with the Destiny 2: Season of the Splice in Beyond Light was the Raid, Vault of Glass. This is an updated version of the original Vault of Glass, accounting for the new powers and strengths that Guardians have obtained since they last gained access.

Getting the Mythoclast

• Unlocking the Vex Mythoclast is a matter of luck against the final encounter within the Vault of Glass.
• When Aethon is defeated there, they have a chance to drop the Exotic Fusion Rifle.

Getting the Catalyst

• Completing the steps below will unlock the Catalyst itself.
• A Guardian wielding the Vex Mythoclast is required to begin this.
• There are Oracles in this, so the order the Oracles are destroyed is very important.

Plate 1 - Entrance

• • it is suggested to do this either before or after
• Go to the right of the arrival point for Vault of Glass.
• Head into the cave there, just past the 2 pillars near the edge here
• The Guardian with the Vex Mythoclast will need to stand on and capture the plate.
• There are 3 Oracles that will appear in a particular order.
• The first Oracle is found by the entrance of the cave.
• The second Oracle is found by leaving the cave and going over to the right.
• Once there, climb up onto the cliffs over to the right of the archway.
• Cross the ledge over to the cave here.
• Go to the back of the cave over to the back left-hand side of it.
• The Oracle will appear there.
• Time to get to the third Oracle here.
• Destroy the Oracles in the ascribed order with a single hand cannon shot.
• When done successfully, you will get the message, "A refrain whispers from deeper within the Vault."

Plate 2 - The Trials of Kabr to The Templar's Well

• Complete the entrance encounter and head into the Vault of Glass itself.
• Go along the path to reach the doorway.
• Do not go through the door, instead go over the ledge and take the first Hidden Path here.
• Go along the path as normal through the first drop.
• Continue to the room with the chest itself, the first landing here has the Vex Plate that you need.
• The Guardian with Vex Mythoclast will want to get ready to step on the plate.
• The fireteam needs to spread out to track down all of the Oracles in this area.
• 2 will want to climb up into the heights of this room with the secret chest.
• There is an Oracles almost above the plate itself.
• Another is across from this one, behind a tall suspended pillar.
• A member of the fireteam needs to go forward to the last suspended pillar before jumping the gap to the next ledge.
• Have them go to the far side of it, and look along this edge.
• The sequence seems to be The Oracle above the Chest, the other Oracle in this room, the Oracle above the chest, and finally the Oracle nearby the exit.
• Confirm this order for your fireteam because it could be dynamic.
• When done successfully, you will get the message, "A refrain whispers from deeper within the Vault."

Plate 3 - The Templar's Well to Gorgon's Labyrinth

• Getting to this plate requires the usage of the Secret Path leading out of the Well toward the Labyrinth.
• Finding the plate requires making your way along the path to the large Vex "doorway" in front of you.
• Go into it and up the small set of stairs to find the next plate for the Catalyst.
• These Oracles are spread out, so be ready for more work again.
• The Third Oracle is found in the same room as the plate.
• The Guardian on the plate, facing the entrance, needs to look to the upper left section for the glowing light to find it.
• The Fifth Oracle is found just outside the room with the plate.
• The Guardian here needs to look upwards, between the walls of the crevasse to spot it.
• The First and Fourth is found just before the drop down into the Labyrinth itself.
• The Second Oracleis found nearby the Labyrinth itself.
• Go along the path toward the Labyrinth, look to the right-hand side of the path.+
• There is a small cave opening here that a Guardian can get into.
• The Guardian with the Mythoclast should step off the plate as needed to ensure the fireteam gets the sequence.
• When done successfully, you will get the message, "A refrain whispers from deeper within the Vault."

Plate 4 - The Chasm

• Having made it through the Gorgon's Labyrinth, the Fireteam will come to the Jumping Puzzle leading down to the final encounter room where they will face the Gatekeeper and Atheon itself.
• At the start of the puzzle, go to the bottom ledge and look to the right.
• There, you can see a few ledges below you.
• The Guardian with the Vex Mythoclast needs to jump down to it and go across the platforms to the Vex Plate.
• From a platform or two down more, a Fireteam member can easily see 2 of the Oracles
• These are the Fifth (lowest) and Seventh (highest) Oracles in the sequence.
• There is 1 more in this section which can be harder to see from there, between the platforms nearby the entrance
• This Oracle repeats as the Second and Sixth Note.
• Be sure that someone has stayed by the entrance of the Jumping Puzzle.
• From there, go over to the left and into the small cave there.
• An Oracle will appear in the cave as the First and Third Notes.
• The Fourth Oracle can only really be seen and shot from the wall opposite the entrance, across the vanishing platforms.
• There is another way to hit this Oracle of course.
• Go through the cave with the Repeated Oracle while it is faded out and reach the end of it.
• Look to the right of the cave exit to spot a ledge a Guardian can jump to.
• Land on the ledge and follow it around the corner.
• After crossing the corner, look to the wall from the turn.
• The Oracle will materialize in front of you.
• Hit the Oracles in their proper 7 note-long sequence.
• When done successfully, you will get the message, "A refrain whispers from deeper within the Vault."
• Be sure at least 1 Guardian remains at the top of the jumping puzzle for now

Plate 5 - Jumping Puzzle (Opening the Gate)

• The Guardian with the Vex Mythoclast needs to make their way to the standing pillar in the middle of the area with all the Vanishing platforms.
• The Guardian at the top of the Jumping Puzzle should aim with a Scout Rifle and use this to help the other Guardians hit the Oracles in the right order.
• These sequences are of increasing complexity, so be ready for them.
• Assigning Guardians to Notes, rather than Oracles works better here.
• Hand Cannons can destroy an Oracle with a single bullet, but a Scout Rifle at a distance is likely to work out better for ammo.
• When done successfully, you will get the message, "A refrain whispers from deeper within the Vault."
• You will then get the additional message, "The Oracles are satiated. The whispers fade into a final refrain."
• An invisible timer has begun running for those with the Mythoclast to go and claim the Catalyst itself.

Cataylst Location - Through the Vex Gate in the Chasm

• An invisible timer of approximately 10 minutes has begun with the activation of this final plate.
• Be accurate but efficient with your jumps.
• Whoever has the Vex Mythoclast needs to make their way to the active portal.
• On the platform with the Final Vex Plate, climb to top.
• Once there, watch for the next platform to materialize.
• When it does, quickly jump out to it and watch for the second platform.
• Finally, jump over to the third platform.
• Run and jump from there to reach the Vex Portal on the platform.
• Just go through the Portal itself to claim the Catalyst itself.
