In Search of Answers is a Prologue quest in Diablo 4.

Walkthrough[edit]

Find the Hermit's Cabin[edit]

"I told the monk of my visions. He was clearly unsettled by what I described. He told me to search the mountains to the North for a hermit who may be connected to these dark events."

  • Time to leave Nevkesk and the Icehowl Taiga.
  • You will find yourself in Boulder Ridge.
  • Investigate as much as you want, but make your way to the Northern marker.
  • Make your way through to the Eastern Pass.
  • Now you're in the search area for the hut itself.
  • You want to find the section of map that wasn't revealed and head there.
  • You will eventually find the Windswept Cabin.

Enter the cabin[edit]

"I found a small house hidden away in the mountains. Could this be the hermit's home?"

  • Just go through the door

Search the cabin[edit]

"I found a small house hidden away in the mountains. Could this be the hermit's home?"

  • The cabin looks empty, with its inhabitant out at present.
  • Time to do a little searching.
  • Interact with the back bookself, to the right of the fireplace.

Enter the back room[edit]

"I found a small house hidden away in the mountains. Could this be the hermit's home?"

  • Go through the revealed doorway and into the back room.

Examine the Strange Skull[edit]

"I found a small house hidden away in the mountains. Could this be the hermit's home?"

  • Inside the back room there is a table with a strange, horned skull on it.
  • Just head over there and interact with to trigger a cutscene.
  • This will introduce Lorath, who is surprisingly friendly.
