Dialog[edit]

Violent Resolution[edit]

Magister Yarrow - Don't disturb me again unless you've seen Migo.

Sebille - ‘Recall the madman who attacked you on the beach and say you may have seen him.*

Magister Yarrow - You have seen him? Tell me - where was he?

Sebille - *TelI her the truth: You met him on the beach, but he had been transformed into something not altogether human. He attacked you and died as a result.*

Magister Yarrow - And you're... you're very sure it was him?

Sebille - ‘Hand her his ring as proof.*

Narrator - *The ring sits heavily in her hand. Her fingertips droop under its weight, and it seems about to fell to the ground when she grasps it tightly and holds it to her breast.*

Magister Yarrow - He was... he was my father...

Sebille - *Say you're terribly sorry for her loss.*

Magister Yarrow - This can't be. You said he was upon the beach, yes? I need to have a look myself. This... this simply can’t be.

Narrator - *She stands stock still with her eyes closed for a moment, then turns away without another word.*

Peaceful Resolution[edit]

Sebille - ’Describe where you met him, but caution her to be careful; there was something terribly wrong with him.*

Magister Yarrow - And you're... you're very sure it was him?

Sebille - *Hand her his ring as proof.*

Narrator - *She inspects the ring closely.*

Magister Yarrow - This can’t be. You said he was upon the beach, yes? I need to have a look myself. This... this simply can't be.

Magister Yarrow - Pop... is that... is that really you?

Migo - Little Yarrow girl! Grown up, flower-headed girl... Magister Yarrow - What have they done...?

Sebille - *Ask why she kept her own father prisoner here. Didn't she know what would happen to him?*

Narrator - *She looks at you with hatred etched deeply in the lines of her face.*

Magister Yarrow -I didn't want any of this.

Sebille - *Say you're glad they found each other again. Even under these circumstances.*

Narrator - *She looks at her father and manages a small smile.*

Magister Yarrow - As am I.

Sebille - *Ask if she knows who’s responsible for this.*

Magister Yarrow - There were always rumours about The Hammer. Dallis, that is. What she was doing with the prisoners she hauled off to her fortress... why they never joined the rank- and-file thereafter... I suppose... I suppose now I know.

Sebille - * Ask if she's ever seen a creature like this before.*

Magister Yarrow - Only the ones Dallis keeps at her side. I guess I thought the)'were... well, in truth, I never gave it much thought.

Narrator - *She reaches out to touch her father's hand; he withdraws it quickly before remembering himself and reaching out to Yarrow again.*

Magister Yarrow -I had no idea. What a fool I am.

Sebille - *Take your leave.*

Magister Yarrow - You’ve helped us a great deal today. Let me help you too. Take this key, and hand me your map-- I'll show you where you can use it. It opens a door leading into the fort that may help you get out of this wretched place. It isn't too late for you. Not yet.
