Head on down the stairs. There is a fair bit to do down this way. First you will have to fight through a Titan. Just head on down the stairs and engage it. It is not the hardest foe at this point. Just keep its sweeping attacks in mind and you should have little trouble it. it is the first line of defense against anyone reaching Mannimarco. After that you will see 4 Skeletal Battlemages lashing him with their swords.
