You have followed the trail of Hoknir's items back to the lair of the beast. Now you need to lure it out by tempting it with some meat.

At the mouth of the cave, there are several corpses of deer:
approach the deer and the option to examine it will appear. Do so and you will find Critter Meat on it:
Take it over to the Bone Pile. Interact with it to place the meat on there.
This will lure out Deathclaw
