Vampirism Infection

Vampirism can be contracted by taking damage from the enemy Bloodfiend in various locations throughout Tamriel. If one is infected with Vampirism, they cannot contract Sanies Lupinus or Lycanthropy.

Once Vampirism is contracted, they can encounter an NPC, Vorundil, who will start the quest Blood Matron. When this quest is complete then the player will become a full Vampire. This will give you access to the World Skill Tree: Vampire.

Vampirism has 4 stages, depending on how recently you have fed upon Humanoid targets.

Getting Rid of Vampirism[edit]

Sometimes you just do not want to be a vampire. If you have invested into the skills, be sure to respec prior to getting it cured. If you are still invested into the skills then you can't get the skill points back until you become a vampire again. You will retain all progress in the skill line. If you become a Vampire again, you regain access to all these skills.

To get cured of Vampirism, you need to find a Priest of Arkay. They are commonly found in the Mages Guild where you find Werewolves and Bloodfiends. Just approach and talk with them. They will present the option for you to be cured. The cost of this is dependant on completing the quest: Scion of the Blood Matron. If you have completed it, expect it to cost between 600-700 gold. If you haven't, then you can expect to get it cured for much cheaper: 50-100 gold.
