Build sheltered beds for Sanctuary settlers is a quest objective in the mission Sanctuary in Fallout 4.

Interact with the Workshop nearby.

Click on Furniture and then on Beds.

Choose one of the Beds and place them in your settlement, in an area that has a roof such as one of the houses.

You need 4x Steel and 5x Cloth to build each bed. You most likely will have them from Junk Items you collected from your travels. Those items will be automatically scrapped and convereted to the materials you need when you build the beds. Excess materials will be stored in your workshop.

If you do not have enough items for the required materials, you can either Scrap stuff from around the settlement, or go collect more Junk Items until you have enough materials.

Build 5 Beds.

You can place the beds anywhere within the settlement, not just in the room with the workshop.

Player: I'll be glad to help. Just tell me what you need.

Sturges: Well, for starters we could use some real Beds. We've been sleeping on the ground for too long. Just make sure we can sleep with a roof over our heads. Some of these old houses still look solid enough to do the trick. There's a Workbench over there you can use. Give me a holler if you need anything.
