The Cryogenic Sequence of a cryo-pod can be manually overriden to stop the stasis before the time it was scheduled to end.
The stasis can also be re-initialized.
Manual Override Protocol[edit]
Vault Computer: Manual override initiated. Cryogenic Stasis suspended.
Vault Computer: Cryogenic Sequence reinitialized.
Story[edit]
In the game, a Mysterious Figure gives the command to override the stasis since he is interested in Shaun.
The stasis is then re-initialized.
Later, during a Critical Failure in the Cryogenic Array, there is a malfunction in the override and only the Sole Survivor is de-frozen successfully.

If the Manual Override fails, the Vault Computer will announce: "Malfunction in Cryo Pod manual release override.
