Exit Vault 111 is a quest objective in the mission Out of Time in Fallout 4.

You've awaken from cryogenic stasis after a malfunction in the Vault.

Your spouse is dead, and your son, Shaun has been kidnapped by a Mysterious Figure.

You should now exit Vault 111.

While cryogenically frozen in Vault 111, I awoke just long enough to witness the murder of my Wife/Husband and the abduction of my infant son. I need to escape Vault 111 and return home, so I can begin to make sense of this tragedy.

Walkthrough[edit]

Open your spouse's Cryo Pod by interacting with it or with the Control Panel next to it. If it does not open, use the Vault 111 Monitoring Terminal to engage the Pod Door Manual Override.
Interact with your spouse to take the Wedding Ring.
Exit the pod room via the Sliding Door.
Follow the corridor. There will be another Sliding Door at the end that is inaccessible. Use the door to your right instead. Before leaving this area, search the Toolbox and nearby for any loot.
Continue through a corridor in which a Radroach can be seen through a window.
There should be a Security Baton on top of a blue container in the corridor, take it for use as a melee weapon.
There is a Desk and File Cabinet in this area you can search for items. There may also be a Stimpak here.
There is also a Security Terminal you can use to get some more info on what was going on in the Vault.
Go through some more Sliding Doors and get to the room you saw behind the window with the Radroach. Most likely you don't have a weapon yet, so kill it with melee attack (the Baton if you picked it up previously, or otherwise your fists).
There is a room with some desks and a Recreation Terminal. From this terminal you can eject a Red Menace holotape.
You can explore the kitchen/mess hall area for more loot. There is another Security Baton on a table near this area too.
Keep following the quest waypoint markers and go through some more corridors and sliding doors and eventually arrive at the Overseer's room. Search the area for loot including weapons and healing items.
Use the Overseer's Terminal to open the Evacuation Tunnel.
There are many good items in and next to the Overseer's room, including a 10mm Pistol and ammo.
There is also a Cryolator Case here. Don't worry about that now, you can come back for it later when you have the proper perks and tools.
Go through the Evacuation Tunnel. Watch out, as it is infected with Radroaches.
Arrive at a room with some dead scientists. One of them as a Pip-Boy near him, pick it up.
Interact with the Vault Door Controls to open the Steel Door.
Go through the big Steel Door that just opened, then down the Stairs, then enter the Elevator.
Before leaving the vault, you will have a chance to change your Name and SPECIAL attributes or change your appearance. When you are done, click on "Finished - Exit the Vault".

Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]

Don't forget to open your spouse's Cryo Pod and grab the Wedding Ring.
The most important items to pick up are weapons, ammunition, and health items.
There are also other many items in the Vault that you can pick up and later use for crafting.
You can't unlock the Cryolator Case at this stage since you have no Bobby Pins, and it has a master lock, but you will be able to return for it later.
You cannot use the Vault Door Controls until you pick up the Pip-Boy.
You will have a chance to respec just before leaving Vault 111.
