Walkthrough[edit]

Look around the edges of the platform that the Sole Survivor appears on. You will see a number of Code Blocks around you. Put one in the gap in front of you. This will allow the bugs to reach the Firewall and get beyond it easily once you crack through it.

Head over to the left from there. You will see a Decoder Relay across the gap. Use the Code Blocks around the edges of the area to make your bridge.

Turn to the left from where you collected the Decoder Relay. There is a gap in the wall there for you to drop through. Climb up the stairs in front and go up 4 sets of stairs.

When you get to the top you will find Code Blocks. Store those and go through the new hole. There is another set of Code Blocks beyond it for you to store. There are a few sets of Blocks to collect around this small room.

With all the blocks collected in this room, look down into the pit. Use this pit with numerous blocks. Put a block in the middle and place a Decoder relay facing out to the nearby Firewall.

Head out toward this nearby Firewall yourself. Use the Code Blocks to create a path forward. Get to the far side and grab the [[Fallout 4: Decoder Relay. Recollect the bridge you just built. Now, make your way back to the starting point in this memory.

Retrieve Memory 0Y-8K7D - Best Left Forgotten

Back at the beginning, head to the pyramid style building opposite that first Firewall. Use the Code Blocks you have collected to build a bridge over to it. Collect the few Code Blocks on the outside of the pyramid. Go around it and collect the other code blocks along the base of it as well. Head inside and collect the Decoder Relay.

Climb to the top of the pyramid after all this. Build a pillar in the opening at the top. It only needs to be 3 tall (including 1 to go inside the pyramid) before you place the Decoder Relay facing away from the entry point. You may need to use some of your blocks to reach a small platform to work from for this portion.

This will send the beam over to a Firewall that was blocking your progress earlier. This will give you access to another Decoder Relay you will want to retrieve.

Retrieve Memory 0Y-8K7D - Best Left Forgotten

Head back to the starting point having broken this Firewall. Make your way back to where you collect the first decoder relay with the 2 pillars that let to the "stairs". Take those stairs back up to the top. You can safely head into the small room with the pit that you had to direct the beam through and collect the Code Blocks and Decoder Relay. Make your way back to the pyramid near the start for the next part.

Retrieve Memory 0Y-8K7D - Best Left Forgotten

Inside the Pyramid, build a 3 tall pillar and place a Decoder Relay. Have it face out to the left, assuming your entering the pyramid from the starting point.

Clear out the code blocks to the left, if you have not already, and the beam will be clearing away a Firewall to the left of your location. Build a bridge across to the newly accessible Decoder Relay.

Collect it and then build a pillar that is 3 tall. Set a Decoder Relay on top of it facing to the right. This will break another Firewall to your right. Take a moment after this to collect the Code Blocks that are around here to add into your inventory.

Head over to the right using the Code Blocks to form another bridge. This will give you another Decoder Relay. Store it and then head back to the pyramid point of this memory, recollecting the Code Blocks you used to build the bridge.

Retrieve Memory 0Y-8K7D - Best Left Forgotten

Head through the pyramid and turn to the left. Once again, build a bridge to reach this next section of the area. Before you head into the structure itself, look up. You will find a Code Block that you can add to your collection.

Once inside, look up into the diagonal shape of the sides. In each side you will find another Code Bock that you can collect.

Now, head to the right from where you entered this small area. You will see blue blocks ahead of you with green ones between them. Build a short bridge about 5 long. At the end of it, build a 3 tall pillar and place a Decoder Relay facing toward the wall with the green blocks.

Retrieve Memory 0Y-8K7D - Best Left Forgotten

Head back to the pyramid now. Go to the Decoder Relay on its pillar and turn it to face it left, relative to the way you just came from.

Go to the left and look to the left. You will see the other pillar that you built over there. Pull out a few Code Blocks and build a 3 tall pillar. Next, use another Decoder Relay and face it to the left, toward the other relay.

Retrieve Memory 0Y-8K7D - Best Left Forgotten

Remove 2 of the blocks making up the pillar and walk underneath the Decoder Relay. Build out a bridge to where the Decoder beam is passing through. At the end, build a 2 Code Block tall pillar and place a Decoder Relay facing to the right. Now, clear away the blocks underneath the Decoder Relay. This will redirect the beam to where it needs to go next. Next the Decoder Relay in place and re-collect the blocks that you used to build your bridge.

Head inside the pyramid and from there go to the starting area once again. Head over to the left, time to build another pillar.

Go underneath the Decoder beam and head to the edge of the platform you are on. Place a Code Block on the edge of the platform. Build up a pillar into the beam, about 3 tall (including the one at the end of the platform). Place a Decoder Relay on top of it facing to the right, toward the starting area.

Head back, once more to the starting area and go over toward the Firewall. Just a few blocks from the starting portal, you will see the Decoder Beam passing overhead. Build a 2 tall pillar of Code Block and then place a final Decoder Relay on top of it facing toward the Firewall.

With the final Firewall destroyed take some time to build the Defense Constructs and a bridge between the entry portal and the memory itself. Fill in most of the area with the blocks and place Defense Constructs on the edges of it to protect the bugs as they extract the data.

Once the memory is retrieved, head into the portal to exit the simulation and be done with the memory collection.

Strategy Guide/Tips[edit]

  • This is the final memory that you need to hack with Faraday's Program.
  • While it takes some trial and error, you can also build the Defense Constructs directly in front of the Firewall protecting the memory itself. With a little luck, an Attack unit will cause the Defense Construct to hit the trigger point on the Firewall and instantly dissolve it.
