Walkthrough[edit]
Main objective[edit]
- 3 Alarms
- This cathedral can be approached any number of ways, but the easiest is going to be approaching from the Eastern side, from the road.
- Look to the building here on the Eastern side to find a grapple point on the Building.
- Use the Grappling Hook and swing up there.
- Release to land on the Western rooftop.
- This can be used to quickly get closer to the cathedral and be able to search around the outside slightly, but head to the Northwest to find a point to slip inside (and the elevation can help a little).
- Looking to the Southwest, you can find a Special Forces Sniper that can be eliminated here to minimal notice (and see 1 of the alarms).
- Go inside the cathedral from there.
- Be mindful of the camera that is watching this area.
- Slip through there to get into a section of the cathedral.
- Just in front of you is a Special Forces Assaulter.
- Turn to the East just after you get out of the room with the camera.
- You will find a Reinforced Alarm to disable
- Turn to the West to spot a Heavy Gunner, who is also the Commander of the area.
- Pick him off and head for the body.
- Get to the body to find the Bell Tower Keycard.
- Be careful about patrolling Assaulter and Special Forces Assaulter still in the Cathedral.
- Watch the Western side to that Special Forces Assaulter is patrolling.
- With the key, head for the scaffolding in the central area of the cathedral and take the ladders there up.
- Turn to the Southwestern door here and head on through it.
- Just outside, you will find the door to the Bell Tower to the South.
- Be sure to turn around and look to the West to find another Alarm that you can disable.
- Go into the bell tower and get in using the Bell Tower Keycard.
- Head on over to the Southeastern corner of this area to get a look over the plaza below you.
- If you haven't killed the Special Forces Sniper already, this is a good place to do that.
- You can also easily look down to the area below to tag the remaining soldiers here: Vanguard, and 2 Assaulters.
- Going out to the Western side of this rooftop, you can find an Assaulter below you, in perfect position for an Aerial Takedown.
- Use it as a quick way down to the ground.
- On the ground, you can easily eliminate these last few and ignore the last Alarm.
- And that will lead to the liberation of the Cathedral!
Secondary objective[edit]
- Rescuing Father Diego is actually kind of easy, thanks to the fact the FND has kept him in the main section of the Cathedral.
- Once through the room with the camera inside (through the Northeastern entrance).
- Once inside, turn to the left to find the Reinforced Alarm to disable.
- Turn to the West after that, and look for the front of the main altar of the cathedral.
- Just in front is the hostage you are after for rescue: Father Diego
- Keep wary looking to the South because there is a patrolling Assaulter.
