Found in the Sector 7 Slums is Chadley who is working to undermine Shinra research efforts. He will set out a series of unlocking Battle Reports to complete. There are 20 in total to complete. Most of these will be completed simply by completing the game. Others will take some effort.

Magic efficacy has been shown to be proportional to MP consumption. Could research into a wide variety of magical invocations reveal that the production of MP cost-reducing materia is within reach?

- Get the Pedometer Materia at the start of Chapter 14 - In Search of Hope
- Moving around with the Pedometer Materia will transform it into the AP Up Materia
